Veggie Shreds

  • I was in a local discount store and saw a product called "Veggie Shreds." I did not look at the package to determine whether this "food" was terrestrial in origin. Certainly, the makers of the "food" want everyone to think that it is nutritious. But this is another one of those fake food products for vegetarians ... the shreds are "Cheddar Flavored." So, they want us to think that it is cheese. It has a "Smooth Melt," announced the bold print on the package. I have no doubt that the claims are correct, and I am not denigrating the stuff. I can't tell you more. That's as close as I got. That's as close as I ever want to get.

  • I found out that my cousin's husband is on some kind of terror watch list ... he was held up at an airport for close to an hour and jokingly asked the TSA official, who had already made two phone calls, of his boss and himself, "Which one of us is the suspected terrorist?" The TSA official said, bluntly, "You are, sir."

  • Stacey hasn't been writing much; so, I thought I'd use bullets in her honor.

    I thought it was Stacey's side of the family that needed to be watched by the law.
