For the record, I'm six foot, one inch tall. At least, I thought I was that tall. That's above average -- or it used to be. The average height for white males is supposed to be a little more than 5' 9 1/2".
I don't understand why, when I got into the elevator this morning at the court house, everyone was taller than me. And not just a shade taller. The sole woman in the elevator must have been six-five. Of course, she was wearing really high heels; so, she may have been shorter than me in real life.
All of the others in the elevator measured at least six-four.
Unless I shrank overnight.
