Comments: Slicing Tomatoes

OUCH! I can't believe Stacey keeps sharp objects within your reach. What next? Electricty next to the pool? Oh wait...never mind. Been there done that.

*winks*

*runs*

LOL

I think that there are few things in this world finer than a sharp kitchen knife. Of course, you DO need to remember to get the digits out of the way. Ouch!

'exceptional precision' 'clean slicing' You would have to test it out on yourself, wouldn't you?

I'd love to have such a knife because I am ever cutting my fingers on our knives. Sometimes Sam won't sharpen them on purpose because he's afraid I will slice myself to pieces, I suppose :) At least if I had a knife like yours, I wouldn't feel the pain!

Don't ask me why, but this song just popped into mind when I read this....

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
A four of fish and FINGER PIES
In summer, meanwhile back

Behind the shelter in the middle of a roundabout
The pretty nurse is selling poppies from a tray
And though she feels as if she's in a play
She is anyway

my favorite is the Boerner V-Slicer. Cheap plastic, but damn sharp steel blades. I can cut a tomato into see-thru slices in 20 seconds - 15 if you don't mind some extra protein in there too. Plus it juliennes, and julienned carrot with fingernail is a mainstay of my lunches these days.

I don't think I'm selling this right....
