Comments: CAKE: A HAPPY HOME

Can I just come over and get a piece instead of baking it myself? ;)

This cake sounds wonderful. I do believe I remember this particular edition of the Betty Crocker cookbook you speak of; though when it was published, I was a mere 12 years old. I have heard of the "Best Chocolate Cake". Can't wait to try it. I also love to cook and bake often. It is what my grandmother used to do...just seems natural. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Oh my gosh. This post has brought up so many thoughts and memories that I'll just have to email it all to you.

I must say, that 21 years later, you still deserves a big congratulatory hug for making a cake from scratch when you have a newborn and a busy, busy preschooler in the house. That is an unbelievable accomplishment!!!

I promise I'm emailing you this afternoon.

Oh my god. That looks so good. I'll just hitch a ride with Kath. Holy goodness. I want some. And do tell, what is that little green thing down on the counter? :)
