Yesterday, my son asked me if the war with Iraq was over yet. I told him that people were still dying every day in "our war". He asked me "why, why are people still dying? We found the really bad guy."

To which I only answered, "Garrett, this war won't be over for a very long time. Its more complicated than a bad guy and I honestly can't explain it to you in a way that will make any sense at all because I don't understand it."

He was quiet for a moment and said, "How many died this month?"

To which I told him I'd check with you.... but I was pretty sure I could answer honestly ... TOO MANY!
