Oops.
Posted by lucy at December 5, 2004 12:32 AMwell... i'm thinking that MAYBE if we'd have put your hand immediately in cold water, you might have a blister. instead of you having me rip the brittle right off -- and thus the skin along with it.
sorry. really sorry.
Posted by stacey at December 5, 2004 04:45 AMOuch. I worked in a movie theater for awhile when I was a teenager. I ran my the back of my hand across that metal kettel inside the popcorn popper once. Let me tell you it is really hard to act tough when your skin has been peeled off.
But ouch 300 degree sugar, thats gotta feel like napalm. Heel quickly my friend and don't let it effect your typing.
Should it be effect or affect, I always get those mixed up.

Well...uh...that's when I actually get into the kitchen to cook.
Something always gets burned at my house.
Posted by KathyHowe at December 5, 2004 08:42 AMOWWWWWWWWWWW! My whole stomach lurched. Yep. The whole thing. That is the whole area below my chest but above the pelvis just did this lurching sensation the minute you said "skin just comes right off". (Am I allowed to say pelvis around here? Ha!)
And then it happened all over again when Stacey said, "rip the brittle right off - and thus the skin along with it". But I'm starting to desensitize.
And I'm starting to remember that photo of your hairy leg and the scratch. And I'm thinking about the lurch I'd get. But you wouldn't...
