Comments: Asparagus

Are you sure it wasn't a cactus? Because what you have drawn here, son, is a cactus.

Maybe it's a Veggie Tale.

Wow. I was just thinking to myself that it has been so long since Bill did one of his world famous drawings...

There is a similar alien, albeit red, at a local Firestone store on a busy highway corner. "It" has been flopping there so long that the carbon monoxide and soot from thousands of car exhausts stopped at the redlight have turned the upper half of the nylon red body to a mottled brownish color. Makes me wonder if that is what my lungs look like after years of city life. Yuck.

We used to have those but they don't work too well in the wind

The thought of a giant undulating asparagus actually made me a little queasy.

Hope you did not have a nightmare about a giant asparagus chasing you.

I will go take a picture of it and email it to you. We have one about a mile from here. Jessica loves it.

There are some phone stores out here with similar things. It's easy for you to mistake its identity since in nature they aren't usually green, but maybe it was a st pat's special or something. Ours is hot pink, and resembles nothing more than a giant, inflatable, semi-inflated, dancing wang with arms.

another mystery solved.

Oh! Oh! Oh! I passed an H&R Block store this afternoon and it had the same green thing (with H&R Block written on the 'head') in front of it and damn- it DOES look like an asparagus!
