PFFFFFT -- WAIT! THERE'S MORE!

PFFFFT.

pfffft. i’ll never enjoy watching the “terminator” movies again. and, maria, i’m so pissed at you, too. dammit. so, california, you gained a new governor; and, arnold, you lost a fan. you see i liked you in the movies, but NOW all i’ll see is a fucking republican, and, by the way, a pretty shitty actor anyway. BEFORE, i could just ignore that little quirk of yours. not anymore. irrational in some ways on my part, i know, but it’s there just the same. the dark spot of some crappy feeling in my heart and head. shit. i can’t wait to see how you’re gonna blame davis for the crappy job you’ll do.

*******************

and now for something not so negative: buzz has been kind of bossy lately, asking questions and issuing directives vis-a-vis blogging.

the challenge: blog it forward. refer your readers to a blog you like.

i said this before about this blog on my old site, but i’ll say it again. chucklehut. never miss him. go there. he’s smart, funny, bawdy, inspiring. i don’t know if you’ll see it or not, but he reminds me soooo much of bill. but different. just my opinion. maybe you won’t see it, i don’t know. check him out anyway.

the query: what is the state of your blog?

hmm. interesting. i really didn’t know how bill and i would mesh blog-wise. we had some readers in common, but a lot more that were unique to our own sites. we do have kind of different approaches to this thing. the daily visitor counts are higher together than they were for us individually, but we get less comments. weird. say hi, people! we’re curious about who you are and why you came. except for those of you who come via those freaky sex google searches.

but i like the site with both of us. i really like the design matt made for us, although it’s still a work in progress. we need to add our old archives, contact info, “about us” pages; and i’m still thinking about the two-column, side-by-side approach. i’m thinking about photo albums. don’t kill me, matt!

bill started blogging as a creative outlet (snarf) at my urging. i love reading his stuff. he has ALWAYS written, and i thought blogging was the perfect forum for him. i wrote a lot, too, mostly in e-mails to my family – they would complain they were too long (as if!) and delete them. so when i discovered blogs, i thought, “eureka!” i don’t do it for any big lofty reasons. i’m just sharing and ranting. just blah-blah-blah-ing. this probably won’t surprise you, but bill once said to me (we were arguing about something), “do you have to talk EVERYTHING TO FUCKING DEATH???!!!” umm. yeah. i do.

tell me what YOU think!

btw, bill's at a seminar in columbus today. he's bored to death. he's got his laptop, but no internet access. can't blog from there. i'm sure he's suffering from some kind of blog withdrawal. i'm positive he'll have plenty to say.

and she's not done yet even:

i just don't feel like logging in again to m.t. so i'm saying it here. it's the weirdest thing to sit across from somebody (-d) you've never met in person before and really feel like that person is an old friend. hope i get to do it again with more of you.

I like your blog Stacey. I read it every day without fail and sometimes even get withdrawal symptoms if you and Bill have not posted something new. Its interesting, its entertaining, its funny, its close to the heart, its about family, its about being American in this crazy mixed up world. Well done!

I've really enjoyed reading your blog in the last little while since I cruised over from Michelle's. I think the two of you mesh well.

It is rather odd... isn't it! However, I don't feel like you are a stranger... and I look forward to sitting across the table from you again soon!

I've read a lot today about different blogs. Why do people base their blog on how many comments there are? Does it really matter as long as you are being read? I think some people would be bugged if I comment so I don't.

I get a few comments from a few regulars but that is it. Not sure if its just not liking what is there or not. I figure I can't please everyone or anyone else for that matter. I get a kick out of what I'm thinking at that time or feel whatever I'm writing at that time. I say just relax and enjoy it.

uh the Cubs are slammin 'em outta the park and the Red Sox just scored 2!!!

I didn't know what to expect when you two joined together, but I think you compliment each other beautifully and that is probably why you are still together after how many years when most people seem to divorce after two of three. Thanks for pointing me towards Chucklehut. I'm not sure what to make of Arnold. Just hope that the people who voted for him realise he is not terminator nor the last action hero.
