Observations

I saw some stuff over the weekend. This is really a post about getting tired of doing this blogging stuff, but I'm tired and don't feel like blogging about that.

  • Why do you put the hood of a Ford pick-up truck, light green in color, out on your front lawn on a side street, offeriing it for sale for $20? It apparently fits any model year from 1973 to 1980. What are the chances of somebody driving by, seeing the hood, and saying, "Just what I'm looking for ... Except it's green. Damn!"

  • Road kill. Are there experts in road kill removal. I mean, possums and groundhogs aren't that big. I'm sure there are shovels for that stuff. But how does one dispose of a huge deer or large dog? There must be some kind of specially-designed lifting and clean-up tools that are used.

  • Girl, it's a fucking Honda Civic ... it will get a scratch on it from time-to-time, but it's a car. Why do you need to take up four parking spaces?

  • In a golf-related item, do not try to step over the little babbling brook with the high grass growing around it because you might sink over your ankle. And then it is real hard to pull your foot out of the mud. And when you do, your golf shoe might still be in the mud filling up with water. Just so you know.

  • Scene observed while sitting on the steps petting the dogs: A lady in a fashionable red jogging outfit ambles by followed by two little kids on bikes with training wheels.
Little Kid #1 says: Mom, mom ...
Woman in Red replies: I can't talk now. I'm running.

That is all. Hope you laughed a little.

They're awesome when they're fashion accessories, but when they start to talk...

Good stuff. I think we all go through the bored stage of blogging. Like anything else sometimes you just need a break in the action.

I always laugh when I come here.

Whoever the road kill experts are, they seem to be either on strike or uninterested these days. There are just too damn many dead animals stinking up the roads these days. I don't think they get paid enough or something.

    And Matt, that was funny!

The Hunter found a dead possum in our yard when he cut it the other day. He now believes me when I said it was way too long and needed to be cut.
