I visited the Human Genome Project website. After spending a lot of time trying to decipher just what these pesky scientists have discovered, I couldn't find the answer to my question: Is there a running-out-of-gas gene that could have been passed down to one of my progeny?
Posted by Bill at March 22, 2006 06:52 PMSurely not genetic. Most likely environmental or maybe that only applies to flat tires. My spawn had a flat yesterday morning when he went out to leave for work with 2 seconds to spare--one more in a line of way too many. Like clockwork they are.
He's still in my vehicle and I (Mama Martyr) am hitching. No spare. Just the little chain thing that pickups have--dangling. "Where is the spare Chris?" "I dunno. I know I put it back last time".
I, on the other hand (not to jinx myself), have not had a flat in years. Years.
Flat tire--definitely not genetic. Out of gas--maybe.

Fortunately it is not contagious. Just thick with grandiosity.
