On Spelling

H: So, you want some avocados?
W: Yeah. Do I need to write that down?
H: No. I'll remember.
W: A lot of people get the spelling of "avocado" wrong.
H: Really?
W: Do you think they confuse it with "Avagadro?"
H: I'm sure it's constantly on their minds.
W: Fuck you.

You mean Avogadro (asked the chemist)? or Ava Gardner (Ava Gardner Festival, Sept 29-Oct 1, Smithfield NC)?

shell: that was the point he was making to me. he kind of edited his snarky response, but not mine. not very well written out here so that you understood he was smacking ME.

Wasn't Avagadro that adrogenous tennis star who lost a fine chance at Wimbledon because
s-he couldn't decide what side of the net s-he belonged on?
