Golfers Are Insane

I have opted out of getting e-mails from some kind of golf handicap service because I'm getting nothing but one stupid golf advertisement after another.

Here is the latest in golf aids to allegedly help with "concentration" on the course.

Here are a couple more items sold by the same company:

Ho-Ho, the Death of Twinkie

Hostess Brands is officially belly up, killed by a strike by the Bakers union. My lovely wife recalls from time to time one of her fond childhood moments, tearing the crust off slices of Wonder Bread and balling up the tender white bread and throwing the bread balls at cars driving by.

It's unfortunate that she will not be able to pass this skill on to succeeding generations with the hope it becomes a family tradition.

It also is the death of Twinkies. Yes, the bankruptcy court will sell off the recipe and the name and you will buy them, but it won't be a real Hostess Twinkie, upon which you will be experimenting.

American Censorship Day

November 16 is American Censorship Day.

Website blocking?

"Access to the New York Times’ English and Chinese websites were blocked in China Friday shortly after the newspaper published a report on the vast family fortune of the country’s premier, Wen Jiabao," reported David Pierson of the LA Times (10/26/12).

So, the House of Representatives is talking again about censoring websites.

Might we remind the buggers that were just elected the other day of something we learned in civics class:

"Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech ..."
