WHY NOTHINGBUTLOVE?

thanks to those of you who sent good thoughts and virtual hugs on my last entry. one of the things shelly said to me in her e-mail was that basically she didn't get nothingbutlove from me, saw that others saw it in me, but that she "knew" me longer, so...

here's the point. i do not / have never had "nothingbutlove" for EVERYBODY. i can be kind of a "pistol" and don't plan to change -- for anybody. but those who DO know me -- really know me -- and a lot of you who've read our stuff, know that i am at heart a very emotional and caring person. UNLESS. unless...

i'm not above holding a grudge. i'm quick to react. i am completely crazy about defending those i care about. i can be really evil to that end. that is also something i don't care to change. a word of advice: don't attack someone i love. don't. do. it. it will not be pretty.

i am of the opinion that this is 90 percent of what shows of me. but it is NOT 90 percent of me. i'm glad i've been able to be the real me on this site, sometimes a pisser, mostly not.

pete townshend said, "be kind, be real, or get out of my face." love that. ok enough masturbatory prose. hey -- it's a blog. if i can't be self-indulgent HERE, then where?

i really like you people, btw. thanks for reading.

"This above all else, to thine own self be true" My Grandad wrote that for me before I could really understand it.

I like you too Stacey. And Bill. And you readers too. My grandma wrote in my autograph book when I was a little girl "Love all, trust a few and always paddle your own canoe". I have always remembered that.

Michelle, I think our Grandparents would have liked each other.
